Inside their accommodations, guests will find elegant decor with gold, white and deep blue tones, as well as flat-screen TVs, rainfall showerheads and free Wi-Fi –which the $20 daily resort fee covers.The tagline on the poster for writer-director Zach Braff’s contrived, heavy-handed and tragedy-soaked drama “A Good Person” reads, “Sometimes we find hope where we least expect it.” Well, that’s true, but it’s kind of a fortune-cookie, greeting-card philosophy - and while we can’t fault the filmmaker for the marketing, that slogan is indicative of the well-meaning but ultimately hollow nature of the work itself. What's more, the MGM Springfield has a plethora of meeting and event spaces as well as catering services for large groups. For more casual eateries, try the hotel's South End Market or TAP Sports Bar. The Commonwealth Bar and Lounge and The Knox Bar are popular places to meet for a drink while The Chandler Steakhouse and Cal Mare are the go-to restaurants for fine dining.

There is also a comedy club and unique performances in the ballrooms, plus an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a spa. Still, this MGM outpost manages to appeal to children and families thanks to a movie theater, bowling alley and arcade, which surround the complex's outdoor plaza.

The main draw is the hotel's casino – which features 550 slots, 120 table games and a poker room – although some visitors wished it was larger and said they expected more from an MGM location. The MGM Springfield has plenty of activities to keep guests entertained.
